Batman: The Dark Knight Returns First Edition question?

So, when The Dark Knight Returns was first published on news stands, it was sold under the title: Batman the Dark Knight. But, it seems as if this cover has all but vanished. I've seen many 'First Edition' copies, but all of them sport the title; The Dark Knight Returns. Can some one please just bust this myth, or tell me where I can look to see (or buy) a copy of this?Batman: The Dark Knight Returns First Edition question?
It was a four issue mini series. Each book had its own title. The first issue was "Batman, The Dark Knight Returns".



Second: "Batman, Dark Knight Triumphant"



Third: "Batman, Hunt the Dark Knight"



Fourth: "Batman, Dark Knight Falls"



I think all the trade paperbacks ( and hard covers) were titled "Batman, The Dark Knight Returns"
